The Cobb Democratic Women have a busy summer planned!
CDW is hosting a Forum for Democratic School Board candidates on July 10th
at the Main Branch of the Cobb Library located at the corner of Roswell
Street and Alexander in downtown Marietta. Refreshments and networking will
begin at 6:00 pm followed by the candidate forum. Cobb Democrats have one
or more candidates in each of the school board seats up for election this
year. Prospects are good for several of them to win.
Plans are underway for CDW to have a booth at the annual Austell Community
Task Force's "Back-2-School Jam", which is usually held the last Saturday in
July. We give away pencils or some other school supply along with
membership applications and voter registration forms. We have candidate
literature as well.
Cobb is the host chapter for the fall meeting of the Georgia Federation of
Democratic Women, which will be held on November 8th. A committee will be
working all summer to get all the plans in place for a successful event.
